                  The genealogy of Noah

1 Noah's sons were Shem, Ham, and Japheth.  These are the genealogies of their sons who were born after the Flood.

2 The sons of Japheth: Gomer, Magog, Madai, Javan, Tubal, Meshech, and Tiras.

3 The sons of Gomer: Ashkenaz, Riphath, and Togarmah.

4 The sons of Javan were Elishah, Tarshish, Kittim, and Dodanim.

5 Their families were so divided in the islands of the Gentiles that they were divided into different languages, tribes, and nations.

6 The sons of Ham: Cush, Misraim, Put, and Canaan.

7 The sons of Cush were Sheba, Havilah, Sabtah, Ramah, and Sabtah. The sons of Ramah were Sheba and Dedan.

8 Ethiopia became the father of Nimrod.  He was the first warrior on earth.

9 He was a strong hunter before the Lord.  That is why it is said that Nimrod was a mighty hunter before Jehovah.

10 His reign began in the land of Shinar from Babylon, Arak, Akkad, and Kalneh.

11 And he departed thence, and went into Assyria, and came unto Nineveh, and to Rehoboth-er, and to Calah,

12 And he built Rasan, which is the great city between Nineveh and Calah.

13 Misraim Ludi, Anami, Lahabi, Naphtuhi

14 And became the father of Peter, and of Cuslui, and of Capernaum.  (The Philistines came out of Kushluhi)

15 Of the tribe of Canaan, Sidon was his firstborn.

16 Jebusite, Amorite, Girgashi,

17 Hivi, Archie, Sini,

18 The Arvadites, the Samaritans, and the Hamathites, and then the Canaanite families, spread out.

19 The border of the Canaanites was from Sidon to Gerar, to Azaz, and from Sodom, Gomorrah, Admah, and Zeboiim to Lasha.

20 This is what happened in the house of Ham, and they were separated according to different tribes, languages, countries and nations.

21 Shem, the ancestor of all the descendants of Eber, and Japheth's older brother, also bore him sons.

22 The sons of Shem: Elam, Assyria, Arpachshad, Lud, and Aram.

23 The sons of Aram: Uz, Hul, Gathar, and Meshech.

24 Arpachshad became the father of Shelah. Shelah became the father of Eber.

25 Eber had two sons, one named Peleg, because in his days the land was divided, and his brother's name was Jaktan.

26 From Jaktan to Almodad, Shelf, Hasermawath, Jarah

27 Hadoram, Ozal, Diklah,

28 Obal, Abimelech, Sheba,

29 Ophir, Havilah, and Jobab.  All these were the sons of Joktan.

30 They live from Mesha to Safar, a mountain in the east.

31 These are the sons of Shem;

32 These are the families of the sons of Noah: these are their genealogies according to their nations.  After the Flood, all the nations on earth spread out from them.

9 वह यहोवा के सामने एक मजबूत शिकारी था।  इसीलिए कहा जाता है कि निम्रोद यहोवा से पहले एक शक्तिशाली शिकारी था।

10 बाबुल, अरक, अक्कड़ और कलनेह से शिनार देश में उसका शासन शुरू हुआ।

11 और वह चोर को विदा करके अश्शूर को आया;

12 और उसने रसन का निर्माण किया, जो नीनवे और कैला के बीच का महान शहर है।

13 मिसराम लुडी, अनामी, लहाबी, नेफ्थुही

19 कनानी लोगों की सीमा सिदोन से गेर तक, अज़ाज़ तक, और सदोम, गोमोराह, अदमा और ज़ेओबीम से लेकर लशा तक थी।

20 हाम के घर में यही हुआ, और वे अलग-अलग जनजातियों, भाषाओं, देशों और राष्ट्रों के अनुसार अलग हो गए।

21 शेम, एबेर के सभी वंशों के पूर्वज और यिप्तह के बड़े भाई ने भी उसे बेटे पैदा किए।

22 शेम के पुत्र: एलाम, अश्शूर, अरपश्शद, लुद और अराम।

23 अराम के पुत्र: उज़, हुल, गाथार और मेशेक।

24 अर्पचद शीला का पिता बन गया। शेला एबर का पिता बन गया।

25 एबेर के दो बेटे थे, जिनमें से एक का नाम पेलेग था, क्योंकि उसके दिनों में जमीन का बंटवारा हुआ था, और उसके भाई का नाम जकात था।

32 ये नूह के पुत्रों के परिवार हैं: ये उनके राष्ट्रों के अनुसार उनकी वंशावली हैं।  जलप्रलय के बाद, पृथ्वी पर सभी राष्ट्र उनसे फैल गए।
