Jesus being tempted

1 Jesus, being filled with the Holy Spirit, turned from the Jordan, and was led by the Spirit into the wilderness.

 Luke 4: 1

2 Satan tempted Jesus there for forty days, and he ate nothing that day. When that time was over, he was very hungry.

 Luke 4: 2

3 And the devil said unto him, If thou be the Son of God, command this stone that it be made bread.

 Luke 4: 3

4 Jesus answered, "It is written, 'It is not bread that keeps a man alive.'"

 Luke 4: 4

5 And the devil taketh him up into a high mountain, and in an instant hath revealed all the kingdoms of the world.

 Luke 4: 5

6 Satan said to Jesus, “I give you the authority and glory of all these kingdoms. Because all this has been given to me. And I can give this power to any person I want.

 Luke 4: 6

7 And if thou wilt fall at my feet, and serve me, I will give thee all these kingdoms.

 Luke 4: 7

8 Jesus answered and said unto him, It is written, Thou shalt worship the Lord thy God, and him only shalt thou serve.

 Luke 4: 8

9 And the devil took him up to Jerusalem, and set him in the highest place of the temple, and said unto him, If thou be the Son of God, go down from thence.

 Luke 4: 9

10 It is written in the Scriptures, 'God will command his angels to guard you carefully.'

 Luke 4:10

11 And it is written, They will hold thee in their hands, lest at any time thy foot be hurt with a stone.

 Luke 4:11

12 Jesus answered, "But it is written, 'You have not returned to the Lord your God.'"

13 And when the devil had tempted him, he departed from him, waiting for another good time.

यीशु की परीक्षा हो रही है

1 यीशु पवित्र आत्मा से परिपूर्ण होकर यरदन से फिरा, और आत्मा के द्वारा जंगल में ले जाया गया।

 लूका 4: 1

2 वहाँ शैतान ने चालीस दिन तक यीशु की परीक्षा की, और उस ने उस दिन कुछ न खाया। जब वह समय समाप्त हुआ, तो उसे बहुत भूख लगी थी।

3 तब शैतान ने उस से कहा, यदि तू परमेश्वर का पुत्र है, तो इस पत्यर को आज्ञा दे, कि वह रोटी बन जाए।

4 यीशु ने उत्तर दिया, कि लिखा है, कि रोटी मनुष्य को जीवित नहीं रखती।

 लूका ४: ४

5 और शैतान उसे एक ऊँचे पहाड़ पर ले जाता है, और पल भर में जगत के सारे राज्य प्रकट हो जाते हैं।

 लूका 4: 5

6 शैतान ने यीशु से कहा, “मैं तुम्हें इन सब राज्यों का अधिकार और महिमा देता हूं। क्योंकि यह सब मुझे दिया गया है। और मैं यह शक्ति किसी भी व्यक्ति को दे सकता हूं जिसे मैं चाहता हूं।

7 और यदि तू मेरे पांवोंके साम्हने गिरकर मेरी उपासना करे, तो मैं तुझे ये सब राज्य दूंगा।

 लूका 4:7

8 यीशु ने उत्तर देकर उस से कहा, लिखा है, कि अपके परमेश्वर यहोवा को दण्डवत करना, और केवल उसी की उपासना करना।

9 तब शैतान ने उसे यरूशलेम में ले जाकर मन्दिर के सबसे ऊंचे स्थान पर यह कहकर खड़ा किया, कि यदि तू परमेश्वर का पुत्र है, तो यहां से नीचे कूद;

10 पवित्र शास्त्र में लिखा है, 'परमेश्वर अपने दूतों को आज्ञा देगा कि वे तेरी चौकसी करें।'

 लूका 4:10

11 और लिखा है, कि वे तुझे अपके हाथ में पकड़ लेंगे, ऐसा न हो कि तेरे पांव में किसी पत्यर से चोट लगे।

 लूका 4:11

12 यीशु ने उत्तर दिया, परन्तु लिखा है, कि तू अपने परमेश्वर यहोवा के पास फिर नहीं गया।

 लूका 4:12

13 और जब शैतान ने उसकी परीक्षा ली, तब वह उसके पास से चला गया, और एक और अच्छे समय की बाट जोहता था।
