The promise of the Lord's coming
1 This is my second letter to you, my friends. I have written these two letters to you to think honestly, to encourage, and to remember these things.
2 Peter 3: 1
2 I want you to remember the words spoken by the holy prophets in the past. Our Lord and Savior gave us this command through your apostles.
2 Peter 3: 2
3 It is important for you to know what will happen in the last days. People will do evil things according to their own desires. They will laugh at you.
2 Peter 3: 3
4 They will say, “He promised to come again. Where is he Our ancestors are dead. But the world is still the way it was when it was created.
2 Peter 3: 4
5 But these people do not like to remember what happened long ago. The heavens were there, and God made the earth with water and with water. It is all made up by His Word.
2 Peter 3: 5
6 The world was flooded and destroyed by the water.
2 Peter 3: 6
7 The same word of God which holds the heavens and the earth which we have now. They are being kept for destruction by fire. They will be kept until the Day of Judgment and for the destruction of those who turn against God.
2 Peter 3: 7
8 But my dear friends. Don't forget this one thing. For the Lord a day is like a thousand years, and a thousand years is like a day.
2 Peter 3: 8
9 The Lord does not delay in speaking what he has promised, as some people think. But God is patient with you. God does not want anyone to be destroyed. He wants everyone to change and stop sinning.
2 Peter 3: 9
10 The coming of the Lord will be as wonderful as a thief coming. With a loud voice the sky will disappear and everything in the sky will be destroyed by fire. The earth and everything on it will be burned.
2 Peter 3:10
11 So everything that I have told you will be destroyed. So think about what kind of people you should be. You must live a holy life and talk about serving God.
2 Peter 3:11
12 You must look forward to the day of the Lord, and look forward to it. When that day comes, the sky will be destroyed by fire, and everything in it will melt because of the heat.
2 Peter 3:12
13 But as God promised, we are waiting for new heavens and a new earth where righteousness will dwell.

Stay awake and be prepared
14 Therefore, my dear friends, since you are waiting for these things to happen, do your best to appear clean and blameless before God. Try to be at peace with God.

15 Remember that God's patience is an opportunity to escape. This is what our dear brother Paul told you when he wrote to you with the wisdom that God gave him.

16 This is how Paul writes these things in all his letters. In his writings, there are some things that are difficult to understand. Strangers and people who are weak in faith deliberately misinterpret such things. They treat other scriptures the same way. By doing so, they are destroying themselves.
2 Peter 3:16
17 Dear friends, you already know this. So be careful. Don't allow bad people to mislead you with these misconceptions and cause you to stumble and fall from your strong faith.
2 Peter 3:17
18 But grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. To him be the glory now and forever. Amen.

प्रभु के आने का वादा
1 यह मेरा दूसरा पत्र है आपको, मेरे दोस्तों को। ईमानदारी से सोचने, प्रोत्साहित करने और इन बातों को याद रखने के लिए मैंने आपको ये दो पत्र लिखे हैं।

3 आखिरी दिनों में क्या होगा यह जानना आपके लिए ज़रूरी है। लोग अपनी इच्छाओं के अनुसार बुरे काम करेंगे। वे आप पर हंसेंगे।

4 वे कहेंगे, “उसने फिर आने का वादा किया। वह कहाँ है हमारे पूर्वज मर चुके हैं। लेकिन दुनिया अभी भी वैसी ही है, जैसी तब थी जब इसे बनाया गया था।
2 पतरस 3: 4
5 लेकिन इन लोगों को यह याद रखना पसंद नहीं है कि बहुत पहले क्या हुआ था। स्वर्ग वहाँ थे, और भगवान ने पृथ्वी को पानी से और पानी से बनाया। यह सब उनके वचन से बना है।

6 दुनिया पानी से भर गई और नष्ट हो गई।

8 पर मेरे प्यारे दोस्तों। यह एक बात मत भूलना। भगवान के लिए एक दिन एक हजार साल की तरह है, और एक हजार साल एक दिन की तरह है।

9 यहोवा ने जो वादा किया है, उसे बोलने में देर नहीं करता, जैसा कि कुछ लोग सोचते हैं। लेकिन भगवान आप के साथ धैर्य है। ईश्वर नहीं चाहता कि कोई नष्ट हो। वह चाहता है कि हर कोई बदले और पाप करना बंद करे।
2 पतरस 3: 9
10 यहोवा का आना चोर के आने जैसा ही अद्भुत होगा। तेज आवाज के साथ आकाश गायब हो जाएगा और आग से आकाश में सब कुछ नष्ट हो जाएगा। पृथ्वी और उस पर सब कुछ जला दिया जाएगा।
2 पतरस 3:10
11 इसलिए जो कुछ मैंने तुमसे कहा है वह सब नष्ट हो जाएगा। तो सोचिए आपको किस तरह के लोग होने चाहिए। आपको पवित्र जीवन जीना चाहिए और भगवान की सेवा करने की बात करनी चाहिए।

12 तुम यहोवा के दिन के लिए तत्पर रहो, और उसके लिए तत्पर रहो। जब वह दिन आएगा, तो आसमान आग से नष्ट हो जाएगा, और गर्मी के कारण उसमें सब कुछ पिघल जाएगा।
2 पतरस 3:12
13 लेकिन जैसा कि ईश्वर ने वादा किया था, हम नए आकाश और एक नई धरती की तलाश करते हैं जहाँ धार्मिकता बसती हो।
2 पतरस 3:13
जागते रहो तथा तैयार रहो
14 इसलिए, मेरे प्यारे दोस्तों, जब से आप इन चीजों के होने की प्रतीक्षा कर रहे हैं, भगवान के सामने स्वच्छ और निर्लज्ज दिखने की पूरी कोशिश करें। भगवान के साथ शांति से रहने की कोशिश करें।
2 पतरस 3:14
15 याद रखिए कि परमेश्वर का धैर्य बच निकलने का एक अवसर है। यह वही है जो हमारे प्रिय भाई पॉल ने आपको बताया था जब उसने आपको इस ज्ञान के साथ लिखा था कि भगवान ने उसे दिया था।

16 इसी तरह से पौलुस ने अपने सभी पत्रों में इन बातों के बारे में लिखा है। उनके लेखन में कुछ ऐसी बातें हैं, जिन्हें समझना मुश्किल है। अजनबी और जो लोग विश्वास में कमजोर होते हैं वे जानबूझकर ऐसी बातों का गलत मतलब निकालते हैं। वे अन्य शास्त्रों का उसी तरह व्यवहार करते हैं। ऐसा करके वे खुद को नष्ट कर रहे हैं।
2 पतरस 3:16
17 प्यारे दोस्तों, आप यह पहले से ही जानते हैं। तो सावधान रहो। बुरे लोगों को इन गलत धारणाओं के साथ गुमराह करने की अनुमति न दें और आप अपने मजबूत विश्वास से ठोकर खाएं और गिरें।
2 पतरस 3:17
18 लेकिन हमारे प्रभु और उद्धारकर्ता यीशु मसीह की कृपा और ज्ञान में वृद्धि करें। उसके लिए महिमा अभी और हमेशा के लिए हो। तथास्तु।
