Preaching of the Apostles in Cyprus
4 Both were sent by the Holy Spirit to Seleucia. And from there by ship to the island of Cyprus.
Acts 13: 4
5 When Barnabas and Saul came to the city of Salamis, they preached the word of God in the synagogues of the Jews. John Mark was there to help them.
Acts 13: 5
6 And when they had passed through the whole island, they came to Paphos. In the city of Paphos, he met a Jewish man who practiced magic. His name was Bereasus. He was a false prophet.
Acts 13: 6
7 Briasus was always close to Sergius Paulus, the governor. Sergius Paulus was a wise man. He invited Barnabas and Saul to his house because he wanted to hear the word of the Lord.
Acts 13: 7
8 But the sorcerer Ilmas (the Greek name for Ilmas Bereasum) was against them. Ilmas tried to stop the governor from acknowledging his faith.
Acts 13: 8
9 But Saul was full of the Holy Spirit (Saul is also called Paul). Paul looked at Elmas.
Acts 13: 9
10 And said, Thou, O son of the devil, is the enemy of every good thing. You are full of evil and lies. You have always turned the Lord's truth into falsehood.
Acts 13:10
11 Now the Lord will touch you and make you blind. For a while you will not be able to see anything, not even the light of the sun. ”Then everything went dark for Elmas, and he looked around for someone to take his hand and lead him.

12 When the governor saw what had happened, he was amazed and believed the word of the Lord.

5 जब बरनबास और शाऊल सलमीस नगर में आए, तब उन्होंने यहूदियों की सभाओं में परमेश्वर का वचन सुनाया। जॉन मार्क उनकी मदद के लिए वहां मौजूद थे।

6 और वे सारे द्वीप से होते हुए पाफोस में आए। पापहोस शहर में, उसकी मुलाकात एक यहूदी व्यक्ति से हुई जो जादू-टोना करता था। उसका नाम बेरियासस था। वह एक झूठा नबी था।

7 ब्रिआसुस हमेशा गवर्नर सर्जियस पॉलस के करीब था। सर्जियस पॉलस एक बुद्धिमान व्यक्ति था। उसने बरनबास और शाऊल को अपने घर बुलाया क्योंकि वह यहोवा का वचन सुनना चाहता था।
अधिनियम 13:7
8 परन्तु टोना इल्मास (इल्मास बेरियासुम का यूनानी नाम) उनके विरुद्ध था। इल्मास ने राज्यपाल को अपने विश्वास को स्वीकार करने से रोकने की कोशिश की।

9 परन्तु शाऊल पवित्र आत्मा से परिपूर्ण था (शाऊल को पौलुस भी कहा जाता है) पौलुस ने एल्मास की ओर देखा,

10 और कहा, हे शैतान के सन्तान, तू हर एक अच्छी वस्तु का शत्रु है। आप बुराई और झूठ से भरे हुए हैं। आपने हमेशा प्रभु के सत्य को असत्य में बदल दिया है।
प्रेरितों के काम 13:10
11 अब यहोवा तुझे छूकर अन्धा कर देगा। कुछ समय के लिए तुम कुछ भी नहीं देख पाओगे, यहाँ तक कि सूर्य का प्रकाश भी नहीं। ” तब एल्मास के लिए सब कुछ अँधेरा हो गया, और वह किसी का हाथ पकड़कर उसकी अगुवाई करने के लिए इधर-उधर देखने लगा।
प्रेरितों के काम 13:11
12 जब हाकिम ने देखा कि क्या हुआ था, तब वह चकित हुआ और यहोवा के वचन की प्रतीति किया।
