From death to life
1 He hath also raised up those who were dead through their trespasses and transgressions;
2 in whom you walked according to the customs of this world, according to the prince of the air, that is, the Spirit who now works in the sons of disobedience!
3 In them we all used to spend our days in the lust of our flesh, fulfilling the desires of the flesh and the mind, and, like others, were by nature the offspring of wrath!
4 But God, who is rich in mercy, for his great love wherewith he loved us,
5 When we were dead in trespasses, we were raised together with Christ; by grace you are saved.
6 And God raised us up with him and seated us with him in the heavenly places in Christ Jesus!
7 That with the kindness which is in Christ Jesus unto us, he may shew forth great riches of his grace in the ages to come.
8 For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God:
9 It is not from deeds that one should be proud!
10 For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God hath before ordained that we should walk in them.
One in Christ
11 Remember therefore that ye were before the Gentiles according to the flesh, called uncircumcision by them which are circumcised in the flesh.
12 And at that time ye were separated from Christ, separated from the people of Israel, without the promises of the Word, without hope and without God in the world!
13 But now in Christ Jesus you who once were far have been brought near by the blood of Christ.
14 For he is our peace, who hath united the Jews, and the Gentiles, and hath broken down the wall of division in the flesh.
15 And the law abolished the law, and the statutes, and the ordinances;
16 And through the cross he might destroy enmity and make them one flesh with God.
17 And he came and preached peace to you which were afar off, and to them that were nigh.
18 For through him we both have access to the Father in one Spirit.
19 Henceforth you are no strangers and foreigners, but of the saints, and of the household of God.
20 And are built upon the foundation of the apostles and prophets, whose cornerstone is Jesus Christ himself.
21 In which the whole building is joined together to become a holy temple in the Lord.
22 In whom ye also are joined together for the temple of God by the Spirit;
मृत्यु से जीवन तक
1 उसने उन लोगों को भी उठा लिया जो उनके अतिचारों और अपराधों के माध्यम से मर चुके थे;
2 जिसमें आप इस दुनिया के रीति-रिवाजों के अनुसार चले, हवा के राजकुमार के अनुसार, वह आत्मा जो अब अवज्ञा के पुत्रों में काम करती है!
3 उन सब में हम अपने दिन अपने शरीर की वासना में गुज़ारते थे, माँस और मन की इच्छाओं को पूरा करते थे, और दूसरों की तरह, क्रोध की संतान थे!
4 लेकिन भगवान, जो दया में समृद्ध है, अपने महान प्रेम के लिए वह हमसे प्यार करता है,
5 जब हम अतिचारों में मर चुके थे, तो मसीह के साथ हमारी परवरिश हुई थी; आपकी कृपा से वे बच गए।
6 और परमेश्वर ने हमें उसके साथ उठाया और मसीह यीशु में स्वर्गीय स्थानों में हमारे साथ बैठाया!
7 जो दया हमारे साथ यीशु मसीह में है, वह आने वाले युगों में उनकी कृपा के महान धन के साथ हो सकती है।
8 अनुग्रह के कारण तुम विश्वास के द्वारा बचाए जाते हो, और यह तुम्हारा नहीं है: यह ईश्वर का उपहार है:
9 यह कर्मों से नहीं है कि किसी को गर्व होना चाहिए!
10 क्योंकि हम उनकी कारीगरी हैं, जो मसीह यीशु में अच्छे कामों के लिए बनाई गई हैं, जिन्हें परमेश्वर ने ठहराया था कि हमें उनसे चलना चाहिए।
एक मसीह में
11 इसलिए याद रखो कि तुम अन्यजातियों से पहले मांस के अनुसार थे, जिन्हें उनके द्वारा खतना कहा जाता था जो कि मांस में खतना किए जाते हैं।
12 और उस समय तुम मसीह से अलग हो चुके थे, इस्राएल के लोगों से अलग हो गए, बिना वचन के, बिना आशा के और दुनिया में ईश्वर के बिना!
13 लेकिन अब मसीह यीशु में आप एक बार जो मसीह के रक्त के पास लाए गए थे।
14 क्योंकि वह हमारी शांति है, जिसने यहूदियों और अन्यजातियों को एकजुट किया, और मांस में विभाजन की दीवार को तोड़ दिया।
15 और कानून ने कानून, और कानून और अध्यादेशों को समाप्त कर दिया;
16 और क्रूस के द्वारा वह शत्रु को नष्ट कर सकता है और उन्हें परमेश्वर के साथ एक मांस बना सकता है।
17 और उसने आकर आप को शांति का उपदेश दिया जो दूर थे, और उनके लिए जो कि शून्य थे।
18 उसके लिए हम दोनों एक आत्मा में पिता की पहुँच रखते हैं।
19 इसके बाद तुम कोई अजनबी और विदेशी नहीं हो, बल्कि संत और ईश्वर के घराने हो।
20 और प्रेरितों और भविष्यद्वक्ताओं की नींव पर बने हैं, जिनकी आधारशिला स्वयं यीशु मसीह है।
21 जिसमें प्रभु में पवित्र मंदिर बनने के लिए पूरी इमारत एक साथ मिलती है।
22 जिसमें तुम भी आत्मा के द्वारा भगवान के मंदिर के लिए एक साथ जुड़ गए हो;
