God's anointed King
1 For what is the punishment of the nations, and why do the nations think in vain?
2 The kings of the earth rise up against the LORD, and against his Christ;
3 Let us break their bonds, and let them loose their cords.
4 He that sitteth in the heavens shall laugh: the Lord shall mock them.
5 Then he will speak to them in his wrath, and in his wrath I will cause them to tremble.
6 But I have set my king on my city of Jerusalem, the holy mountain of Zion.
7 I will preach the word, and the LORD hath said unto me, Thou art my Son, to thee have I begotten this day.
8 Ask of me, and I will make the nations your inheritance, and the ends of the earth your property.
9 Thou shalt break them with an iron rod, thou shalt crush them as with a potter's vessel.
10 Now therefore, O kings, be wise, and understand, O judges of the earth.
11 Serve Jehovah with fear, and rejoice with trembling.
12 Kiss your son lest he be angry with you, and you perish in the way, for his wrath is kindled quickly. Blessed are those who take refuge in Him.
Describe the confusion in human language
1 There was one language and one language in all the earth.
2 At that time the people, going east, found a plain in the land of Shinar and settled there.
3 And they said one to another, Come, let us make bricks, and bake them well; they had bricks instead of stones, and mud instead of lime.
4 And they said, Let us build for ourselves a city and a tower, the top of which is toward the heavens;
5 While the people were building the city and the tower, the Lord came down to see it.
6 And the LORD said, Behold, the people is one, and they all have one tongue, and they have begun to do this thing, and there shall be no hindrance to them.
7 So let us go down and confuse their language so that they do not understand each other's language.
8 So the Lord scattered them from there all over the earth. So they stopped building that city.
9 And they called the name of that city Babylon: for there the LORD overthrew the language of the whole earth, and from thence the LORD scattered them abroad throughout all the earth.

6 और यहोवा ने कहा, देखो, लोग एक हैं, और वे सभी एक ही भाषा बोलते हैं, और उन्होंने यह काम करना शुरू कर दिया है, और उनके लिए कोई बाधा नहीं होगी।
7 इसलिए हम नीचे जाएँ और उनकी भाषा को भ्रमित करें ताकि वे एक-दूसरे की भाषा को न समझें।
8 इसलिए यहोवा ने उन्हें सारी पृथ्वी पर वहाँ से खदेड़ दिया। इसलिए उन्होंने उस शहर का निर्माण रोक दिया।
9 इस कारण से उन्होंने उस शहर का नाम बेबीलोन रखा: क्योंकि वहाँ यहोवा ने सारी पृथ्वी की भाषा को उखाड़ फेंका, और यहोवा ने उन्हें सारी पृथ्वी पर बिखेर दिया।
