The plot to kill Jesus
1 When Jesus had finished saying these things, he said to his disciples,

2 “You know that there will be a Passover. In that day the Son of Man will be delivered up to be crucified by his enemies. ”

3 And the chief priests and the elders of the people gathered themselves together into the high priest's house. The chief priest's name was Caiaphas.

5 But they said, "We cannot arrest Jesus at the Passover because the people will be angry and will cause trouble."

7 Then a woman came to him. He had a very expensive perfume in a marble bottle. While she was eating, the woman poured the perfume on his head.

8 And when the disciples saw it, they had indignation, saying, To what purpose is this waste?

9 The same perfume could be sold at a higher price and the money could be given to the poor?

10 Jesus knew what had happened. So he said, “Why are you annoying this woman? He has done this very well for me.

11 The poor will always be with you, but I will not always be with you.

12 This woman has poured perfume on my body. He has done all this to bury my dead body.

13 Verily, verily, I say unto you, The gospel shall be preached in all the inhabited earth for a witness unto all the world;

14 Then one of the twelve, named Judas Iscariot, went unto the high priest, and said,

15 “I will deliver Jesus into your hands, and what will you give me for this purpose?” And the priests gave him thirty pieces of silver.

16 After that time Judas sought to betray him to the priest.

The Last Supper with the Disciples
17 Now on the first day of the feast of unleavened bread the disciples came to Jesus, saying, Where shall we prepare the passover for you?

18 Jesus answered, “Go into the city and meet the man I know and tell him that your teacher said, 'My appointed time is near, and I will make the Passover meal with your disciples at your house. ''

19 And they did as he had said unto them: and the passover was prepared.

20 In the evening, Jesus was sitting at a table with his twelve disciples.

21 And as they did eat, Jesus said, Verily I say unto you, That one of your twelve disciples shall betray me.

22 When the disciples heard this, they were very upset. Every disciple of Jesus said, “Lord, I am not! Isn't that true?

23 Jesus answered and said unto him, He that dipped his hand with me in the dish, the same shall betray me.

24 The Son of Man will come and die, just as it is written in the Scriptures. But woe to that man by whom the Son of man is betrayed! It would be better for that man not to be born. ”

25 And Judas said unto him, Master, I am not. Is it not true? ”Judas was the man who wanted to betray Jesus to his enemies. Jesus said,“ Yes, it is you. ”

26 While they were eating, Jesus took some bread. Jesus thanked God for the bread and distributed it among his disciples, saying, "Take this bread and eat it, for this is my body."

28 This is my blood. My blood starts a new covenant between God and His people. This blood has been shed for the forgiveness of many sins.

31 Jesus said to his disciples, “Tonight you will lose your faith because of me. For it is written, 'I will kill the shepherd, and the sheep of his flock will be scattered.'

33 Then answered Peter and said unto him, Though all the disciples shall be offended because of thee, yet will I never lose faith.

34 Jesus answered and said unto them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Before the cock crow, thou shalt deny me.

35 But Peter said, "Even if I have to die with you, I will not reject you." And so did all the other disciples.

28 यह मेरा खून है। मेरा खून परमेश्वर और उसके लोगों के बीच एक नई वाचा शुरू करता है। यह खून कई पापों की माफी के लिए बहाया गया है।

29 मैं तुमसे कहता हूं, मैं यह शराब कभी नहीं पीऊंगा। लेकिन जब मैं इसे अपने पिता के राज्य में आपके साथ पीता हूं, तो यह नया होगा। ”

30 तब उन्होंने एक भजन गाया। फिर वे जैतून के पहाड़ पर गए।

पीटर के इनकार की भविष्यवाणी
31 यीशु ने अपने चेलों से कहा, “आज रात तुम मेरी वजह से अपना विश्वास खो दोगे। इसके लिए लिखा है, 'मैं चरवाहे को मार डालूंगा, और उसके झुंड की भेड़ें बिखर जाएंगी।'

32 लेकिन मरने के बाद मैं फिर से उठूंगा और गलील जाऊँगा। वहां पहुंचने से पहले मैं वहां रहूंगा। ”

33 तब पतरस ने उत्तर दिया और उससे कहा, यद्यपि तुम्हारे कारण सभी शिष्य नाराज होंगे, फिर भी मैं कभी विश्वास नहीं खोऊँगा।

34 यीशु ने जवाब दिया और उनसे कहा, वास्तव में, मैं तुमसे कहता हूं, मुर्गा कौवा से पहले, तुम मुझे इनकार करोगे।

35 लेकिन पीटर ने कहा, "भले ही मुझे तुम्हारे साथ मरना पड़े, मैं तुम्हें अस्वीकार नहीं करूंगा।" और ऐसा ही अन्य सभी शिष्यों ने किया।
