The descent of the soul

1 When the day of Pentecost came, they were all gathered together in one place.

 Acts 2: 1

2 And suddenly there came a sound from heaven as of a rushing mighty wind, and it filled all the house where they were sitting. This voice filled the whole place where they were sitting.

3 They saw something like burning flames. They all had different tongues and came down and stayed in front of every human being.

 Acts 2: 3

4 And, behold, the Holy Ghost was in them, and they all began to speak with tongues. Because the Holy Spirit gave them the power to speak.

5 At that time, there were many religious Jews living in Jerusalem. These people came here from all over the world.

6 And great multitudes were gathered together, because they heard that it was so. They were amazed because they heard every believer speaking in his own language.

7 All those Jews were amazed. They did not understand how they were able to do that. And they said, Behold, are not all these which speak Galilaeans?

8 How then do we all hear the language of our homeland? How is this possible? We are all from different places.

9 We are Parthians, Medes, Elamites, Mesopotamians, Judeans, Cappadocians, Pontusians, and Asians.

7 वे सब यहूदी चकित हुए। उन्हें समझ नहीं आ रहा था कि वे ऐसा कैसे कर सकते हैं। और उन्होंने कहा, देख, क्या ये सब गलीली बोलनेवाले नहीं हैं?

8 तो हम सब अपने देश की भाषा कैसे सुनते हैं? यह कैसे हो सकता है? हम सब अलग-अलग जगहों से हैं।

9 हम पार्थियन, मादी, एलामाइट, मेसोपोटामिया, यहूदिया, कप्पादोकियाई, पुन्तुसी और एशियाई हैं।
