Don't go backwards, move forward in education
1 Let us therefore depart from the old ways of the teaching of Christ unto wisdom, and lay not the foundation unto repentance of the dead, but to the faith of God:
2 The teaching of baptism, the laying on of hands, the resurrection of the dead, and everlasting judgment.
3 This is what we will do if God wills.
4 For those who were once enlightened and tasted of the heavenly gift and shared in the Holy Spirit
5 And tasted the good word of God, and the power of the world to come
6 And if they go astray, it is impossible for them to repent again, for they have crucified the Son of God a second time.
7 Blessed is the land that swallowed up the rain that fell upon it, and brought forth fruitful leaves for them which are sown.
8 But if it produces thorns and thistles, then it will be rejected and cursed, and its end will be consumed.
9 But, beloved, even though we say these things, we expect of you better things than these, and those who are in salvation.
10 For God is not unrighteous to forget your work, and the love which ye have shown in his name, that ye have ministered unto the saints, and do minister.
11 And we desire that every one of you should do the same to the end, to the end.
12 That ye be not slothful, but imitators of them that keep the promise through faith and patience.
God's unshakable promise
13 And when God had sworn to Abraham, because he saw no man greater than he, to whom he sware, he sware by himself,
14 That I may bless thee, and multiply thee, and increase thee.
15 In the same way, he patiently kept his promise.
16 People swear by someone greater than themselves, and their every dispute ends with an oath.
17 So when God wanted to make his will more clear to the promised authorities, he brought an oath in between.
18 For we are comforted by two sure words, in which the lie of God is not to be deceived, and those who seek refuge in the hope that is set before them.
19 And that hope is the anchor of our soul, which is sure and steadfast, and reaches to the place within the veil.
20 And he entered into us as a leader, and an high priest after the order of Melchizedek.
शिक्षा के क्षेत्र में आगे बढ़ें
1 इसलिए आइए हम मसीह की शिक्षा के पुराने तरीकों से हटकर ज्ञान की ओर बढ़ें, और मृतकों के पश्चाताप की नींव न रखें, बल्कि ईश्वर के विश्वास पर चलें:
2 बपतिस्मा की शिक्षा, हाथों पर बिछाने, मृतकों के पुनरुत्थान और हमेशा के लिए न्याय।
3 परमेश्वर की इच्छा के अनुसार हम यही करेंगे।
4 उन लोगों के लिए जो एक बार स्वर्गीय उपहार के बारे में प्रबुद्ध और चख रहे थे और पवित्र आत्मा में साझा किए गए थे
5 और परमेश्वर के अच्छे शब्द, और आने वाले संसार की शक्ति का स्वाद चखा
6 और यदि वे भटक जाते हैं, तो उनके लिए फिर से पछताना असंभव है, क्योंकि उन्होंने दूसरी बार परमेश्वर के पुत्र को क्रूस पर चढ़ाया है।
7 धन्य है वह भूमि, जो उस पर गिरी हुई वर्षा को निगल गई, और जो उनके लिए बोए गए हैं, उनके लिए फलदार पत्ते लाए।
8 लेकिन अगर वह कांटे और तने पैदा करता है, तो उसे अस्वीकार कर दिया जाएगा और शाप दिया जाएगा, और उसका अंत भस्म हो जाएगा।
9 लेकिन, प्यारे, भले ही हम ये बातें कहें, लेकिन हम आपसे इनसे बेहतर चीजों की उम्मीद करते हैं, और जो मोक्ष में हैं।
10 क्योंकि परमेश्वर तुम्हारे काम को भूल जाने के लिए अधर्मी नहीं है, और जो प्रेम तुमने उसके नाम पर दिखाया है, उसे तुम संतों से लेकर मंत्री तक बना लो।
11 और हम चाहते हैं कि आप में से हर एक को अंत तक यही करना चाहिए।
12 कि तुम सुस्त नहीं हो, लेकिन उन लोगों की नकल करो जो विश्वास और धैर्य के साथ वादा निभाते हैं।
भगवान का अटूट वचन
13 और जब परमेश्वर ने इब्राहीम को शपथ दिलाई थी, क्योंकि उसने किसी मनुष्य को अपने से अधिक नहीं देखा, जिस से वह सावधान रहता है, वह अपने आप से सावधान करता है,
14 मैं तुम्हें आशीर्वाद दे सकता हूं, और तुम्हें बढ़ाऊंगा, और तुम्हें बढ़ाऊंगा।
15 उसी तरह, उसने धैर्य से अपना वादा निभाया।
16 लोग अपने से बड़े व्यक्ति की कसम खाते हैं, और उनका हर विवाद शपथ के साथ समाप्त होता है।
17 इसलिए जब परमेश्वर वादा किए गए अधिकारियों को और अधिक स्पष्ट करना चाहता था, तो वह बीच में शपथ लेकर आया।
18 क्योंकि हमें दो निश्चित शब्दों से दिलासा मिलता है, जिसमें परमेश्वर के झूठ को धोखा नहीं दिया जाना है, और जो लोग उनके सामने स्थापित होने वाली आशा की शरण लेते हैं।
19 और वह आशा हमारी आत्मा का लंगर है, जो सुनिश्चित और दृढ़ है, और घूंघट के भीतर जगह तक पहुंचती है।
20 और वह एक नेता के रूप में, और मल्कीसेदेक के आदेश के बाद एक महायाजक के रूप में हमारे सामने आया।
