Then beware
1 I will come to you again. This will be the third time. And remember, "For every complaint there should be two or three people who can say it's true."

2 The second time I was with you, I warned those who had sinned before. Now I am away from you. I warn everyone else who has sinned. When I come back to you, I will punish you.

3 You want proof that Christ is speaking. My proof is that Christ is not weak to punish you. But Christ is powerful among you.

4 It is true that Christ was weak when he was crucified. But now he lives by the power of God. And it is true that we are weak in Christ. But we will live with Christ for you by the power of God.

5 Examine yourselves and see if you are living in the faith. You must feel that Christ Jesus is in you. But if you fail the test, Christ is not in you.

6 But I hope you will see that we have not failed the test.

10 I write these things to you in your absence, so that when I come to you I may not use my power to punish you. The Lord has given me this power to make you strong. Not to destroy you.

5 अपने आप को परखो और देखो कि क्या तुम विश्वास में रहते हो। आपको यह महसूस करना चाहिए कि मसीह यीशु आप में है। परन्तु यदि आप परीक्षा में असफल हो जाते हैं, तो मसीह आप में नहीं है।

6 परन्तु मुझे आशा है कि तुम देखोगे कि हम परीक्षा में असफल नहीं हुए।

7 हम ईश्वर से प्रार्थना करते हैं कि आप कुछ गलत न करें। क्या यह महत्वपूर्ण नहीं है कि ये लोग देखें कि हमने परीक्षा पास कर ली है? लेकिन महत्वपूर्ण बात यह है कि आप वही करें जो सही है। हालांकि ऐसा लगता है कि हम परीक्षा में फेल हो गए हैं।

8 हम ऐसा कुछ नहीं कर सकते जो सच्चाई के खिलाफ हो। हम केवल वही कर सकते हैं जो सत्य के लिए हों।

9 यदि तू बलवन्त है तो हम दुर्बल होकर प्रसन्न हैं। और हमारी दुआ है कि तुम और मजबूत हो।

10 ये बातें मैं तेरे अभाव में तुझे इसलिये लिखता हूं, कि जब मैं तेरे पास आऊं तो तुझे दण्ड देने के लिथे अपक्की शक्ति का प्रयोग न करूं। यहोवा ने मुझे यह शक्ति दी है कि मैं तुम्हें बलवान बना सकूं। आपको नष्ट करने के लिए नहीं।
